Post-16 Results Surgeries 2021
Are you waiting for your GCSE results and thinking about your options? Why not book into a results surgery at The Watford UTC.
Friday 13th August 2021 – 10.00 to 14.00
We will be open for drop in applications for Year 12, so come along with a copy of your GCSE results and apply for September.
As well as the typical A-Level subjects, you’ll find a whole new world of specialisms taught in an inclusive atmosphere, with state of the art resources by a leading team of teachers. Our specialist subjects include: Computer Science/IT, Travel & Tourism, Media and Business, as well as English Literature, Maths, Physics, Photography and Spanish. The Watford UTC is a comprehensive school which has been running for seven years now and has achieved a Good Ofsted rating.
Please ensure you bring a copy of your GCSE results with you.
A Level – A levels are challenging, academic courses designed to take students on to university study. A level students will need at least:
• 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above (or equivalence)
• Grade 5 in English and Maths (or equivalence)
• Grade 6 in the subjects they want to study (or equivalence)
BTEC/Vocational – Level 3 BTEC
BTECs are vocational courses and prepare students for university, apprenticeships or work. BTEC students need:
• 5 x 4 grades at GCSE (or Merit grades at BTEC) – or equivalence
• Grade 4 in English and Maths – or equivalence
In addition to the Year 12’s minimum academic entry requirements, students will need to satisfy minimum entrance requirements to the courses for which they are applying. Both internal and external applicants who do not meet the minimum course requirements will be given the option of pursuing any alternative courses for which they do meet the minimum academic requirements
